Managing Director

As a social scientist and economist, I see strategy development as a tool to clarify questions as to contexts, structures, and sets of interests. I am particularly interested in economic, sociocultural, and political institutional conditions as well as in the influence factors in regional and social development processes. My working method and my approach to solving problems are oriented towards realization – coupled with the courage and desire to also come up with new, unconventional solutions.

Education

• Economics graduate from the Vienna University of Economics, focus on regional economy
• Scholar at the Institute for Advanced Studies (Institut für Höhere Studien), Vienna; speciality: regional policy
• Degree from specialty college for the tourism industry

• Since 1999: Managing Director of ÖIR-Projekthaus GmbH (ÖIR-Informationsdienste GmbH until Nov. 2008)
• 1999-2003: Member of the Board of Directors of Österreichisches Institut für Raumplanung – ÖIR
• 1990–1999: Project Manager at Österreichisches Institut für Raumplanung – ÖIR
• 1986–1990: Transport and tourism expert at the Chamber of Labour of Vienna (Kammer für Arbeiter und Angestellte)
