ÖIR-Projekthaus looks back on a long history. Its name indicates its roots – and the task we have set ourselves.

öir is the name of the organization we have emerged from: The Österreichisches Institut für Raumplanung (Austrian Institute for Regional Studies and Spatial Planning) that was founded in 1957. In 1999, ÖIR was privatized and ÖIR-Informationsdienste GmbH was founded, which changed its name to ÖIR-Projekthaus GmbH in October 2008. This is where our broad knowledge of methods and strong empirical background have evolved.

projekthaus stands for the second area we are rooted in: Process management and consulting, focused on creative location and project development.

To responsibly support decision-making processes – that is our mission. Well-founded and applicable analyses, innovative concepts, and dynamic, high-performance project management – this is our bid for the future.
